Double knock out video | Hardrock MMA 43 | Kentucky MMA
Hardrock MMA 43 was a great event with a huge crowd but it was not without controversy. We reported earlier about the brutal head kick disqualification from earlier in the event, but the biggest mishap came just before the main event. Braedon Ward was making his Professional Mixed Martial Arts debut against Louisville MMA’s Branden Bishop in the penultimate bout of the evening.
Ward had just executed a nice throw when the fighters crashed into, and through, the Hardrock MMA cage door. Both fighters fell out of the cage and wound up on the floor, unconscious. Emergency staff immediately went to their aid and both fighters were okay. The scene was certainly scary for everyone in attendance. The fight was ruled a No Contest and Hardrock MMA staff rushed in to repair the cage before the Main Event. Both fighters are now under a 60-day medical suspension by the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Authority. Watch the video below (1:32 mark) and let us know what you think!

There is really no excuse for that to happen. The cage should be properly assembled, fighters have enough to worry about without wondering if the cage is going to hold them if they run into it. How does that even happen?
