MadWolf Promotions | Art of War 1
MadWolf Promotions first show kicked of at the Wyndham on Saturday February 11 in front of an exciting crowd of over 300 people. This all ammy card also featured two exciting grappling matches for the fans pleasure. Special guest Chris “Lights Out” Lytle who will be running for state senate in this upcoming election also visited the fights.
Bryant Barrett vs Brandon Clawson
The first bout of the evening was an action packed battle in the bantamweight division. Clawson started the bout out with a couple of leg kicks to set up a big power double to run his opponent from one side of the cage and slam him in his own corner. After escaping to his knees Barrett takes a few shots on his way back to his feet and ends up in a standing guillotine. After a few seconds of squeezing Clawson decides to jump into guard still holding onto the choke and get the submission at the 1:23 mark in the first round.
Ray “the Short Fuse” Korb vs AJ “No Nickname Needed” Sinclair
The second bout of the evening Ray “the Short Fuse” Korb took on AJ “No Nickname Needed Sinclair. The bout opened with a quick body lock takedown by Sinclair. Short Fuse used the cage to wall walk his way back to while throwing a few hard body shots but was quickly returned back to the mat with a double after some time on the mat Sinclair locked in a tight guillotine and forced Korb to tap early in the first round.
Johnny “Half Pint Neville vs. PJ Wigley
The next bout on the card was a lightweight battle between Johnny “Half Pint Neville and PJ Wigley. Both fighters came out qickly and after a flurry of quick punches from both men Neville caught Wigley with a clean right hand on the jaw sending him to the canvas. This making Half Pint the victor with a TKO at :18 of the first round.
Phil “Filthy” Trella vs James Sherbino Jr.
The fourth bout of the evening began with a quick flurry of punches till Trella rocked Sherbino forcing a takedown attempt. After stuffing the takedown and a quick scramble Trella ended Sherbino’s night via his right hand to the chin at the :23 second mark of the first round
Chris “The American Badass” White vs Jake “Prettyboy” Chinn
After a brief intermission the fights resumed with this action packed battle in the welterweight division. The fight began with a few quick flurries and head kick attempts by the Prettyboy. Then White shot in for the single after a scramble Chinn rocked The American Badass with a right hand forcing a takedown attempt. The Prettyboy stuffed the takedown and the ended his night with a violent head kick. This gave the Prettyboy the knockout of the night at :40 seconds of the first round.
Bradley Maddox vs Chris Jewell
The next bout on the card began with a flurry and quick takedown for Maddox. Then after passing straight to mount Maddox goes for an armbar then transitions to a triangle. Jewell fights and flips for as long as he could but was forced to tap giving Maddox the win by submission.
Levi Rose vs Vince Hines
The seventh bout of the evening began with a headkick from Hines. This prompted Rose to have a take down attempt that ended up being a headlock into side control. After some body shots Rose attempts an arm triangle but is unable to finish it before the end of the round. The second round began with a big double leg shot and a pass to side control by Rose. Then Hines reguards and locks in a body triangle. Rose digs a few body shots in and passes to side control again then locks up a choke and forces Hines to tap.
Mike “The Grim Reaper” Ricketts vs Connor Mitton
The next bout lead off with some quick punches by Ricketts which we responded by with a few kicks from Mitton. After a few exchanges of blows between both men landing shots Mitton pushes the Grim Reaper up against the cage. After some short punches and knees the Grim Reaper hits a hip toss landing in side control and moved straight into the crucifix. After some grappling Mitton is able to get back to guard. Ricketts lifts and slams his opponent then began to rain down some ground and pound. Then after nothing happens for a while the referee stands the fighter back up. The fighters go back to exchanging punches and kicks the Grim Reaper drops Mitton mid exchange with a right hand but is unable to finish him before the end of the round. The second round begins and looks like the continuation of the end of the first. Ricketts comes out with some quick punches and drops Mitton and finishes him off with some quick ground and pound giving him the second round TKO.
Lamontae Dixon vs Jonhte “Juiceman” Potts
The main event began after a short intermission and a signed glove giveaway by Chris Lytle. The fight began with both fighters using some quick movement and footwork. After a few missed shots Dixon pushed Potts up against the cage. Potts attempts a standing guillotine then gets reversed by Dixion into his own choke but is unable to finish after jumping guard before the round ends. The second round began with the fighters going back against the cage. After a double attempt and some dirty boxing Potts takes Dixon down to guard and finishes the round on top. The third and final round began with a quick takedown by Dixon and taking his back attempts a rear naked choke. After Potts rolls and gives up side control he nearly reverses Dixon but ends up in his guard. The fighters are soon stood up and go into a flurry of punches and kicks with both fighters landing shots. Then Dixon shoots in for a double and end up in a scramble as the round ends and we go to the judge’s scorecard. The judges score the fight 30-27 Dixon, 30-27 Potts, and 29-28 Dixon giving Dixon the spit decision victory.
